EVENT DATE:

Stunning natives and floral hanging features from Maggie May featured in Emma and Adrian’s gorgeous rustic wedding reception. Guests enjoyed our signature dumpling bar, drinks and canapés in the Commodores Room before moving to the Pacific Room for a lavish party with entertainment by the Baker Boys. With thanks to Design Lane for the photographs. Wishing the couple a lifetime of joy and happiness!
Dear Renee,
You made us feel comfortable before the wedding and confident that all would be taken care of. You also were right that our guests would not go away hungry!
I want to take this opportunity to thank Zest from the bottom of our hearts and also from the overflow of our hearts. The day was AMAZING! Your professionalism beforehand and during the reception was exceptional. Every staff member was courteous, willing to help and went above and beyond-right from the time Shannon greeted us at the door, be that on time or before the designated time. Shannon is such an asset to your venue with his accommodating manner and his professional style. I just had to hug him at the end of the night with gratitude. So many of our guests commented on the job he did on the night and how he went out of his way to help. One guest even tried to tip him but Shannon would have none of that! Shannon being at the front door to open it whenever you pass through the doors, with a smile and an offer of help is a great asset. He may well not be on your books if he is employed by the Royal Motor Yacht Club but he still is on the front line and that makes for a wonderful introduction to the venue.
At the reception and constantly since, my family have been congratulated on the great night that we had provided our guests. Emma and Adrian certainly did their research and came up trumps! One friend of ours owns a function centre in Newcastle and has set up many a wedding. She said without a doubt your setup, service, presentation and food was hands down the best she had ever seen or attended. I think that is a big compliment! The guests on the night were thrilled with the view and there was ample room to move and mingle and enjoy the view from wherever you were. I loved the look of the room and even the way the bridal table was configured so that they all could mingle and feel a part of it from their seats.
Your dumpling bar was amazing and such a big hit! I think Emma and Adrian chose well from the menu but it was all class anyway! I don't eat oysters but they were a lay down mezzaire! The service of drinks was exceptional - I don't drink alcohol but the alcohol flowed freely and the wait staff and table service was excellent from my point of view.
Darren - where do I start? He was incredible! On the night he was visible but not obtrusive, available and extremely helpful. If he was stressed he didn't show it. If things were wrong he righted them. I was checking with Darren now and then how we were going for time-he constantly assured me that all was well even though I knew we were probably quite behind. His attitude of quiet confidence was reassuring to me. I hugged him too! Even leaving the venue we were not made to feel we had to hurry out, and Shannon was there to retrieve hats and jackets and organize taxis- a nice touch when leaving.
Thankyou once again to you all for an exceptional and memorable experience. We will forever be thankful.
